Norway – June 2022

I think everyone’s life needs a healthy dose of adventure. Lucky for me, I spent a week of my life adventuring in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Norway.
Hiking is my favorite activity. It’s a healthy challenge for the body and breathing — and when both are synced- the mind as well. You exert yourself up mountains for the chance to see a vantage point unavailable to those who never venture out. You take a deep breath of cooler air in the peace and quiet and revel in the accomplishment before hitting that eccentric quad workout on the way down. I lived my greatest life hiking every single day exploring new Norwegian landscapes through hiking.
After 5 straight days of hiking, I put myself “out there” in Norway by signing up for the massive Trolltunga hike Via ferrata. This entailed first biking — despite my Belgium article, I have a hard time biking over rocky places. Followed by climbing 1,000+ ft. up a rocky cliff for over two hours. I am afraid of heights…. But I’m not afraid of adventure. I always know that pushing myself through things that I fear leads to a sense of accomplishment and bliss that cannot be matched by taking the easy way. If you don’t live on the edge, you’ll never see the view.
Short article… but as my favorite Pixar movie Up says… Adventure is out there!
